Vinh Phuc focuses on support industry

Construction began yesterday on a US$5 million motorbike and automobile spare parts manufacturing plant in the northern province of Vinh Phuc.

The project, the second of its kind by Japanese firm Suzukaku, is being built at the Ba Thien 2 Industrial Park in Binh Xuyen District.

Company officials said the modern and environmentally-friendly assembly line is scheduled to begin operations in August, generating hundreds of jobs for local workers.

Vinh Phuc currently has 21 projects with Japanese investment and is calling for more to promote growth of the motorbike and automobile supporting industry in the province.
