Shares gain in early trading

The VN-Index added 4.68 points this morning to close at 599.9 points, touching the 600-point level.

 

With more than 97 million shares traded, the trading value totalled VND1.77 trillion, or US$84.2 million.

Vinamilk (VNM) continued to be the most active blue chip this morning, gaining VND5,000, or $0.23, per share. Together with 12 other blue chips, VNM boosted the VN30-Index by gaining 0.48 per cent to close this morning at 672.43 points, although 10 codes lost.

The losers included Bao Viet Group (BVH), FPT Group (FPT) and PetroVietnam Low Pressure Gas Distribution (PGD).

The HNX-Index on the Ha Noi Exchange also advanced by 0.56 per cent to end at 84.62 points, while the HNXFF-Index increased to 84.73 points, 0.79 per cent higher.

The HNX30-Index closed this morning at 170.66 points, adding 0.9 per cent.

The total trading value reached VND617 billion, or $29.3, on the exchange of more than 66 million shares.
