Isuzu sales still going strong

The pickup truck remains the most popular choice of vehicle in Vientiane, due to its ride, comfort and practicality, and those in the market for a new pickup need look no further than the all new Isuzu D-MAX utility.

The D-MAX compares well on all fronts with competitors in its class, offering potential vehicle buyers a first rate option in terms of vehicle price, load carrying capacity, performance, fuel efficiency and style.

Isuzu Lao Services Sole Company are the exclusive dealers of the D-MAX in Laos. Company management are confident they will achieve their annual sales target of 1,000 pickup trucks by the end of this year, after selling almost 600 in the year to date.

Isuzu Lao Services Sole Company Managing Director, Mr Vilasaykham Philaphandeth, said many customers are interested to view and buy the all new Isuzu D-MAX both 4x2 & 4x4(V-Cross) models, which means sales are higher than the previous year.

Mr Vilasaykham said the atmosphere at their showroom is good as customers have recognized that the all new Isuzu D-MAX is an all-round competent vehicle which also comes with a sleek and stylish design.

So far, they have sold 583 pick-ups in the year to date, with the new D-MAX offering a very economical option for motorists and becoming renowned for its durability and great fuel economy.

With branches in Vientiane, Savannakhet, Pakxe and Luang Prabang, they are quite confident they will top the thousand sales mark before the year is out, this being the start of the new financial year.

Mr Vilasaykham said the main customers so far are everyday people, and they are now targeting the expansion of their company sales.

He said the company is proud of the after-sales service it can offer customers with highly trained service technicians and friendly staff waiting at hand.

In an effort to further boost sales, the company will reward customers who opt to drive away with one of the pickup trucks, Mr Vilasaykham said.

All customers will have the chance to win additional prizes thanking them for their custom, with more than 350 million kip up for grabs. They will receive two coupons each, one for the monthly draw and one for the grand prize draw at the end of this year.

The promotion started in July, and the company will give away one Yamaha Fino each month until November.

Meanwhile in December the company will hold the major prize draw, with one lucky winner to walk away with a new Isuzu D-MAX 4x2 model, while there are another two Yamaha Finos, three Samsung Galaxy mobiles, four LED TVs and five washing machines also on offer.

The strategy seems to be working so far. “In July, the company sold 80 pick-ups. In August we sold 67 and in September we sold 69,” Mr Vilasaykham said.

The winner of the lucky prize draw in September was Mr Sommay Keoaphay of Houay-leusy village in Bachieng district, Champassak province, who is now the proud owner of a Yamaha Fino.

A very happy Mr Sommay said he only bought the pick-up from the company last week, thanking the company for its generous promotion as he now has a motorbike for his family as well.
