Economic & Urban Newspaper reaches cooperation agreement with HPA

Such a partnership is expected to provide broader coverage of trade, investment, and tourism activities in Hanoi.

The Economic & Urban Newspaper and the Hanoi Promotion Agency on May 12 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation.

The signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, both sides would cooperate in media coverage of Hanoi’s investment, trade and tourism activities, along with holding socio-political events, conferences, and meetings on economic, cultural, and social aspects in the city and nationwide.

Editor in chief of Economic & Urban Newspaper Nguyen Minh Duc stressed the newspaper as a mouthpiece of the municipal People’s Committee, is the voice of people from all walks of life.

After 23 years of development, the Economic & Urban Newspaper now consists of different publications, including the printed newspaper (issued from Monday to Saturday), and the online newspaper at www.kinhtedothi.vn, English newspaper The Hanoi Times (www.hanoitimes.vn), tieudung24h.vn, and phapluatxahoi.vn.

Over the years, the Economic & Urban Newspaper has been covering major events related to all fields in Hanoi as well as the country and the world regarding politics, economy, urban, society, and culture, Duc said.

“The newspaper especially focuses on investment, trade, and tourism activities in Hanoi, helping businesses to access new markets and facilitate export activities. Meanwhile, the city has also served as an information portal on projects and new policies for domestic and foreign companies planning to do business in Hanoi,” The editor in chief added.

For his part, HPA Director Nguyen Anh Duong expected a closer partnership with the Economic & Urban Newspaper would ensure high-quality coverage of the city’s trade, investment and tourism activities.

“HPA would continue to work with the newspaper and other press agencies in revising promotional activities to best support businesses,” he said.
