LienVietPostBank promotes digital banking

LienVietPostBank on Thursday in Ha Noi officially launched its digital banking app LienViet24 with an aim to bring new experiences and benefits to customers.

The LienViet24h app was developed based on integration of its e-wallet Vi Viet, digital banking (including internet banking and mobile banking) and other card services. The app is now available on App Store and Google Play Store.

People without a bank account could register to use LienViet24h with their mobile phone number and electronic know your customer/client (eKYC). The app could be used to pay for electricity, water, television bills; online saving accounts, money transfer and online shopping.

In addition to digital banking utilities, the app also has a function to provide suggestions to customers based on their demands, habits and interests.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Pham Doan Son, vice chairman and general director of LienVietPostBank, said: “The bank has always paid attention to investing in building a digital banking foundation to make it become an important transaction channel in addition to its traditional transaction offices which have been its advantage. The launch of LienViet24h is one of the steps to specify the target to become one of the leading retail banks in Viet Nam.”

He added that the app would help LienVietPostBank affirm its position in the banking and finance market in the digital era.

Nguyen Ba Tuyen, director of LienVietPostBank’s Digital Banking Centre, said the services on the digital banking app would be diversified. It targeted not only new services but also those at transactions offices.

"If there is only one product at the counter, customers who use digital banks will have an entire bank,” he added.

In the first nine months of 2020, the bank’s total assets reached VND214 trillion, and capital mobilisation of VND175 trillion. Its lending in the period was VND160 trillion and before-tax profit of more than VND1.74 trillion, surpassing its whole’s year set target. The bank now has 553 transaction offices, becoming the joint stock bank with the largest network in Viet Nam, covering all localities nationwide.
