Trading in STK shares on Sept 30

More than 42.3 million shares of Century Synthetic Fiber Corporation (STK) will be officially traded on the HCM City Stock Exchange on September 30, HSX announced.

As one of the leading fibre producers in Viet Nam, each share of STK would start at VND29,000 (US$1.28).

In the first half of 2015, STK reached VND630 billion ($28 million) in revenue and VND29.2 billion ($1.29 million) in profit after tax.

STK planned a profit after tax of VND115 billion ($5.12 million) this year and VND160 billion ($7.12 million) by 2016.

Until June this year, STK had charter capital of VND423 billion ($18.8 million) and total investment capital of VND1.6 trillion ($71.7 million).

STK was established in 2000 with the first plant in HCM City's Cu Chi District. On September 18, it inaugurated a $32.7 million fibre plant in Trang Bang District, Tay Ninh Province.

Currently, the corporation has four plants in HCM City and Tay Ninh Province, where it is planning another plant worth $12.5 million in 2016.
