His delegation of 46 business executives and government, port, industry, and education leaders is on a five-day trade mission in Việt Nam from April 8.

Sandison said the visit is a great opportunity to enhance understanding and relationships with the Vietnamese Government, people and businesses.

The visitors noted the sales of Washington apples at MM Mega Market and promoted Washington agricultural products, including wheat and wheat flour, apples, wines, cherries, and hay.

Companies like MM Mega Market could help move his state’s products into Việt Nam, Sandison said.

Apple is the number one product of Washington State, which produces high-quality fruits with great taste and in many varieties, he added.

The visitors held meetings with Vietnamese leaders, made visits to various manufacturing and innovation centres, met with cultural and higher education leaders, and attended business networking and product promotion events.
