PetroVietnam Gas JSC to pay 2022 dividend in cash at rate of 36%

An overview of GAS's LNG Thị Vải Terminal project. In the first 6 months of 2023, GAS's revenue is estimated at over VNĐ45.7 trillion, 16 per cent lower than the same period last year, 17 per cent higher than the 6-month plan. — VNA/VNS Photo

This means that investors will get VNĐ3,600 for each share they are holding.

The closing date for dividend payment is August 29. The last registration date is August 30 and the payment time is November 2.

In the first six months of 2023, GAS' revenue is estimated at over VNĐ45.7 trillion (US$1.3 billion), 16 per cent lower than the same period last year, 17 per cent higher than the 6-month plan. Profit before tax and after tax were estimated at more than VNĐ7.5 trillion and nearly VNĐ6.1 trillion, respectively.

GAS continues to maintain a stable gas supply to produce nearly 11 per cent of the country's electricity output, about 70 per cent of nitrogen fertiliser production, meeting nearly 70 per cent of the LPG market share, and holding the LPG retail market share of nearly 25 per cent.

According to GAS, the company saw both advantages and disadvantages in H1. Inflation was found at high levels in many countries, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine had not cooled down yet, and Việt Nam's GDP growth in H1 was lower than planned. The prices of Brent oil and LPG fluctuated strongly, falling compared to the same period last year. Some gas blocks and gas fields of GAS had to stop or reduce gas supply to shore for maintenance and repair, leading to a decrease in output compared to the same period last year at fields such as Cửu Long, Nam Côn Sơn 1, Hàm Rồng-Thái Bình.

Since the beginning of the year, GAS market price has decreased by 2.07 per cent, of which the highest price reaching VNĐ109,000 per share on February 20, and the lowest closing price was VNĐ91,900 per share on May 5.
