Samsung Engineering selects Doosan Vina as partner

After studying Doosan Vina and a number of suppliers’ productive capacity surveys, Samsung Engineering Limited (SECL) has selected Doosan Vina as a partner in several SECL projects.

Prior to signing the Doosan Vina deal, SECL spent more than a year carefully reviewing the quality, capability, and safety of each Doosan Vina product to meet international standards and expectations. Samsung Engineering Co., Ltd. and Doosan Vina Co., Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding and frame agreement in June 2018. According to the agreement, Doosan Vina will be responsible for manufacturing equipment at the $300 million high-tech complex located in central Quang Ngai province.

With this contract, Doosan Vina received the first order of $13 million on October 12, 2018, and will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, assembly, and the testing of oil for the project to improve flexibility in crude oil processing at Ruwais Refinery of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company located in the United Arab Emirates. It is expected that this order will be handed over in early 2020.

SECL was established as the first engineering company in Korea in 1970 and is based in Seoul, Korea as a technology, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, providing full range of services. Technical services include feasibility studies, design, bidding, construction, and commissioning.

Meanwhile, Doosan Vina is a high-tech industrial complex in Dung Quat Economic Zone in Quang Ngai province. Doosan Vina specialises in manufacturing and supplying technical infrastructure products that transform and make people's lives more modern.
