Retail show opens in HCM City

The 10th annual Viet Nam International Retail Tech and Franchise Show opened Thursday in HCM City, showcasing 150 franchise models and 50 brands that provide technologies and equipment for the retail sector.

 

Apart from product displays, the event is focusing on business matching programmes and training courses, seminars on retail and franchise activities.

The event will provide a platform for franchisors and sellers to meet master franchisees, sub franchisees, distributors, wholesalers, dealers, retailers, buyers and decision-makers from Viet Nam and beyond.

With a large population and high purchasing demand, Viet Nam has become a lucrative destination for foreign companies in the retail and franchise sector, according to the organisers.

Participating companies are from many countries, including Viet Nam, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Canada, India, the Philippines and the US.

The expo is being held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in District 7 until November 3.

Another exhibition, the third Coffee Expo Vietnam 2018, opened at the same venue yesterday, attracting 250 brands from 10 nations.

The event displays equipment and materials for coffee making as well as bakery tools and materials from domestic and international brands.

The annual expo offers coffee and confectionary business and shop owners access to sources of high-quality materials and information about business and investment activities.

A highlight of the event will be the Viet Nam Super Barista Championship with prizes worth up to VND200 million (US$8,584).
