Year’s 3rd Vietbuild opens in HCM City

The latest products and services in housing, architecture and interior and exterior decoration are on display at the Vietbuild International Exhibition that opened in HCM City on Thursday.

The third Vietbuild held in the city this year features more than 1,500 booths set up by more than 300 exhibitors from 18 countries and territories, including France, the US, Russia, Turkey, the UK, Australia, and China.

"On show are property projects, electrical equipment, doors and accessories, intelligent housing systems, internal and external decorative items, building materials, solar energy systems and others," said Nguyen Tran Nam, chairman of the Viet Nam Real Estate Association and head of the organisation board.

The exhibition, besides introducing participating companies’ latest products and technologies, would also feature seminars and forums for the companies to meet, exchange information and explore future co-operation, he said.

Nguyen Ba Huan, general director of the Nhi Long Joint Stock Company, said his company is showcasing a wide range of carpets and rugs imported from Turkey and Belgium, the two largest producers and exporters in the world.

The products meet German OEKO - Tex Standard 100 and are to Vietnamese consumers’ tastes and budgets, he said.

In recent years using carpets and rugs in offices and houses has become popular in Viet Nam, he said.

The number of apartments is increasing in HCM City and Ha Noi, and by participating in the expo the company wants to promote its brand and products and seek new customers, he added.

The exhibition, being held at the Phu Tho Indoor Sports Stadium, will run until October 29.
