Fair of industrial and consumer goods opens in Hoa Binh

More than 200 booths are displaying products at an exhibition of industrial and consumer goods that opened in the northern province of Hoa Binh on Thursday.

The fair is part of a series of trade promotion events held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) in Hoa Binh Province with the participation of representatives from 28 provinces and cities in the northern region.

The exhibition features products from traditional handicraft villages, industrial equipment, consumer and household goods, agricultural products, textiles and cosmetics.

According to Ngo Quang Trung, head of the Agency for Regional Industry Development under the MoIT, the event is an opportunity for enterprises and industrial production establishments to boost trade and look for potential partners to promote their brands, exchange experience and expand economic cooperation.

Vice chairman of Hoa Binh People’s Committee Bui Van Khanh said the fair will contribute to the strong development of industry, trade and tourism in Hoa Binh Province; promote and introduce the potential of the province; and contribute to the socio-economic development of Hoa Binh as well as the northern region in the future.

A number of cultural and entertainment performances will also be organised during the expo.

The fair will run until November 1 at the Provincial Fair and Exhibition Centre.
