Advertising technology exhibition kicks off

The bi-annual Viet Nam International Advertising Equipment and Technology Exhibition (Vietad) opened on Wednesday, offering opportunities for companies in the advertising industry to showcase their machinery and network with potential partners.

The four-day event is run by the Dong Nam Advertising and Commercial Promotion Joint Stock Company, under the supervision of Viet Nam Advertising Association (VAA) and HCM City Advertising Association.

This is Viet Nam’s biggest advertising equipment and technology exhibition, featuring around 350 stalls and 150 domestic and foreign businesses, with an expected visitor count of over 10,000, including domestic and foreign business delegations.

“Vietad is organised to bring about trading opportunities, and introduce and update the latest technology in the advertising industry,” Ninh Thi Thu Huong, director of the Department of Cultural Foundation under the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, said during the opening ceremony.

Nguyen Truong Son, general secretary of VAA, said that Vietad helps firms meet potential partners, which contributes to strong and stable development of the advertising industry.

Exhibitions include large poster printing machines, textile printing machines, laser cutting technology, LED screens and projectors, and advertising services, components and materials, as well as many other recently developed advertising technologies.

A business matching event was also organised on the same day, offering promotion and networking opportunities for domestic and foreign firms in the advertising industry.

On August 10, a conference on the status of the advertising industry over the first six months of the year will be held.

The exhibition was held in March this year in Ha Noi.
