VPBank targets increasing high-end customer segment

Viet Nam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank) last week officially launched VPBank Diamond which is designed for the increasing high-end customer segment in Viet Nam.

The new private banking line targets affluent customers with a combination of financial solutions, including savings, lending, insurance and high-end services such as World Master Card.

Customers in the segment are successful people with strong financial potential and know how to manage their finance, but are busy. VPBank expects to bring customers world-class services which are individualised to meet their demands conveniently, said Gauraw Srivastava, director of the high-end customer segment at VPBank.

The country’s high and stable economic growth rate in past years has increased the number of middle and upper class people. The world market consultancy Boston Consulting Group forecasts that this segment could reach 33 million by 2020.

Another forecast from Nielsen showed that the number could be 44 million by 2020 and 95 million by 2030. The rapid growth increases demand for high-end banking services. VPBank Diamond is an answer for increasing demand, according to the bank.

“This is a suitable time for us to introduce VPBank Diamond and improve our services,” said Gauraw, adding that the service would focus on big cities such as Ha Noi, HCM City, Da Nang and Hai Phong in its first phase.

He said VPBank has been investing in human resources, systems, products and brand name by employing 150 customer care staff, investment and asset management specialists. Customers using VPBank Diamond service can receive support from specialists in different sectors such as investment, foreign currency, insurance and lending.

In addition, customers could access banking services through different channels including Door Step Banking, special transaction offices without waiting for implementing transactions, a special hotline, special website and mobile app.

VPBank Diamond’s customers could also use a special waiting room – VPBank Diamond Elite at Noi Bai International Airport and enjoy free services at the airport.
