Nissan opens third Cambodian showroom

Tan Chong Motor (Cambodia) Pty Ltd (TCMC), the exclusive distributor of Nissan vehicles in the Kingdom, unveiled its new Nissan Urvan in conjunction with the opening of its third showroom in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.

The Urvan is the fifth generation of Nissan’s popular “people transporter” and is geared towards commercial use. TCMC is the wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia-based Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd (Malaysia).

TCMC senior country manager Hout Kimmeng said Cambodia presents a promising market and the company expects gradual and steady sales growth over the next few years.

“The company’s business plan in the Kingdom includes expanding our network to have better coverage in the market and introducing more new models,” Kimmeng said.

He said with the introduction of the Urvan, which is fully imported from Japan, the company is confident of achieving higher sales in the Kingdom.

“Nissan customers can enjoy the comfortable and cosy lounge area in the showroom while surfing the net and waiting for their vehicles to be serviced by trained technicians,” Kimmeng said.
