EU firms on display at country’s first Eurofair

More than 40 exhibitor stock part in the first three-day Euro-fair in Cambodia. The event started on Friday and ended on Sunday on Koh Pich Island.

European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) Executive Director Blaise Killian said it was a privilege to showcase the best of Europe in the Kingdom during the three-day event.

Besides the automotive industry – which was represented by Porsche, BMW and Mercedes Benz – the expo included booths from exclusive furniture and interior design firms from Italy, French cosmetics, European fashion lines, machinery from Bosch and Wurth, Daas & Chemicals, as well as European food groups from Thalias, Hops and many others.

Ahead of the event, Killian said: “We have worked towards this first event for a long time, and I hope visitors, in particular, Cambodian consumers and businesses, will enjoy the products, the food and the activities around the fair.”

He said the goal of the fair was to provide professionals with a selection of business-to-business opportunities and the general public with a chance to familiarise themselves with European brands, products and services.

“This first Euro fair will set the tone for more to come in the following years,” said Arnaud Darc, EuroCham chairman, adding that apart from promoting business between Cambodia and Europe, the event served to increase the visibility of European businesses in the Kingdom.
