BIDV Metlife targets 50 per cent growth this year

BIDV Metlife is targeting premium growth of 50 per cent to reach VND90 billion (US$3.87 million) this year.

 

The insurance company on Tuesday announced its business results after four years in the market.

Its total assets have reached VND1.46 trillion while equity capital stands at VND612 billion.

By the end of May 2018, its total premium was VND195 billion.

BIDV Metlife posted 100 per cent on-year premium hike in the second quarter of the year. Its annual premium equivalent reached VND64 billion in the period.

CEO Gaurav Sharma it now had more than 1,000 branches and a 4,000-strong sales force across Viet Nam.

BIDV MetLife has focused on digitisation and customer centric products with a sustainable and profitable growth agenda.

He added that the bancassurance model with BIDV had enabled BIDV MetLife to create a one-stop-shop destination for customers: through a BIDV branch that is close and familiar to them, they can find products and services meeting all their financial needs from payments and savings, to investment and protection.
