Nam Long kicks off Waterpoint township in Long An province

Nam Long Group officially kicked off Waterpoint Township in Ben Luc district of Long An province on June 25.

Waterpoint Township is one of Nam Long’s key projects in the next 10 years and a declaration of the stature and investor’s real estate development ability in creating a complete ecosystem of real estate.

Waterpoint consists of low-rise (townhouses, villas) and high-rise residential buildings (apartment buildings), an office, shopping, service, and entertainment complex, a hospital, as well as education and sports facilities.

In the first phase, Waterpoint will take up 165 hectares, comprising of a 20-hectare central park, with the investment capital of VND6.6 trillion ($306.6 million).

It is designed to encourage physical activity with a private jogging track and a bike trail, a 2.5ha community living area, and an international standard pool.

Nam Long also reserves 17ha for a university and an international school, 8ha for the commercial and services area, and 3ha for healthcare services.

According to Steven Chu Chee Kwang, CEO of Nam Long, the vision of Waterpoint's development is a residential area with natural living environment and diverse facilities for residents not to only settle down, but also to study, work, and play, as in other satellite towns around the world.

Nam Long will launch the first phase of Waterpoint project over the next five years, Chu said.

Joining the corporation in project development are partners with long experience from Australia and the Netherlands.

Waterpoint is located at an ideal venue, in an intersection of road-, water-, and railways connecting Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong delta.
