Passion for Better Living: SCG showcases home and living innovations

SCG has put on a showcase of innovations in building materials and living technology at Architect Expo ‘18 held at from May 1-6, 2018 at Challenger Halls 1-3, Bangkok, Thailand. The showcase—under the concept of “Passion for Better Living”—reinforces SCG’s commitment to offering better, more convenient, and safer habitats.

Aside from solutions for homeowners, concrete systems and other building material innovations were also developed to serve the particular needs of contractors.

Anuvat Chalermchai, brand management and communications director of SCG Cement-Building Materials, said, “We have put together a showcase of innovative building materials and living technology to reinforce our position as the Cement Expert and Innovation Leader. The showcase revolves around an in-depth Customer Value Proposition that addresses the varied lifestyles of homeowners.”

“Visitors can discover new experiences that provide convenience, time efficiency, and safety. All of these aim to serve customers’ lifestyles which have influenced by fast-changing technology in the digital world. Besides, contractors’ needs are also considered and catered for with a variety of services which enhance project efficiency,” added Anuvat.

In the framework of the showcase, SCG introduced numerous highlight solutions, including SCG eldercare, cool home innovations, the SCG innovative roofing system, and the SKIVE collection by COTTO.

“For building contractors, SCG also provides the Precast Concrete System from SCG Building Tech. The system reduces construction time by up to three months. The service solutions offering precast home infrastructure and architectural design services will also be featured at the SCG booth,” said Anuvat.

SCG offers premium quality cement and innovative building materials in many ASEAN countries. In Vietnam, SCG has been putting efforts into understanding customer behaviour and needs and offers products and services that address the particular Customer Value Proposition.

Notably, recently, SCG Concrete has been developing better products and services to serve customer's needs and meet the requirements of higher standards of construction technology, including fast-setting concrete, early strength concrete, and post-tension.

For the cement industry, SCG is developing a pathway to become the cement expert as core value proposition to serve homeowners and contractors following the mission of ‘passion for better living.'

Anuvat added: “In addition to these products, SCG also provides service innovations that address customers’ pain points when it comes to home building and renovation. In the digital era, SCG believes that customers’ convenience and accessibility are integral.”
