Footwear Summit to discuss new trends

New trends and growth models in the footwear industry will be the main topics of discussion at the Viet Nam Footwear Summit 2018 in HCM City from March 21-22.

According to the Viet Nam Leather, Footwear and Handbag Association (Lefaso), the event is expected to help local businesses grasp international footwear development trends, apply new materials and information and technology (IT) to slash costs and meet environmental requirements.

Provided with sufficient information from foreign experts, Vietnamese footwear producers will be able to pen vision and development strategies. The event will also give local firms a chance to meet with customers from 20 countries worldwide.

Viet Nam’s footwear industry has enjoyed giant strides thanks to bilateral and multilateral trade agreements as well as the fourth industrial revolution. However, enterprises need to renew to keep pace with the latest trends and join the global supply chain.
