Habeco (BHN) eyes $365m revenue in 2018

The Ha Noi Beer Alcohol and Beverage JSC (Habeco) has set a target of earning VND8.3 trillion (US$365 million) in revenue in 2018, up 6.7 per cent year on year.

In 2018, Habeco is also looking at earning VND955.4 billion ($42 million) in pre-tax profit, 0.3 per cent higher than last year, the company’s Director General Ngo Que Lam announced at a conference to review the firm’s performance last year and outline tasks for this year on Wednesday.

Habeco, which is currently the largest beer producer in the North and the third-largest beer company in Viet Nam, will also contribute an estimated VND5.37 trillion to the State budget.

To this end, the company plans to draw up appropriate measures to balance production and consumption and avoid inventory, besides improving the quality of its products and developing new products.

Last year, the company posted approximately VND7.8 trillion in revenue and paid more than VND4.8 billion into the State coffer.

Headquartered in Ha Noi, Habeco owns 17 subsidiaries and six affiliated companies, with total production capacity of more than 800 million litres of beer per year.

The company will start trading with code BHN on the HCM Stock Exchange (HOSE) on January 19, a move that Habeco hopes will improve its reputation and draw more investments.
