Vietnam’s leading luxury boutique resort wins Asia’s best at the World Luxury Hotel Awards

La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc MGallery By Sofitel was recently awarded the continent category as Asia’s Luxury Romantic Beach Resort 2017 at the World Luxury Hotel Awards held at St Moritz, Switzerland.

The prestigious recognition as ‘Asia’s Best’ in the Luxury Romantic Beach Resort category is afirst-ever win by any resort property in Vietnam. The award was given at a gala event attended by hundreds atthe 10th edition of the annual World Luxury Awards.

The World Luxury Hotel Awards – “The Oscars of the Hotel Industry” - is a recognised global organisation honouring luxury hotels around the world for their world class facilities and service excellence provided to guests. Each year, over 300,000 international guests, travelers and industry players alike vote, during a four-week period to select winners. This year, La Veranda Resort Phu Quoc MGallerywas recognised as the Luxury Romantic Beach Resort for the continent of Asia.

Established in 2006, this 70-room luxury boutique resort, part of theMGallery By Sofitel collection, is the first luxury property on Phu Quoc Island.

Located centrally on Duong Dong beach, La Veranda provides an experience evocative of a French colonial mansion by the sea. Its architectural design and atmosphere creates a distinctive style with comfort and indulgence reminiscent of a bygone Indochine era.

The resort has two restaurants and a bar - The Peppertree, Le Jardin and Le Bar.
