PM establishes nat’l committee on economic restructuring

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has decided to establish a national steering committee on restructuring the economy and renewing the growth model.

 

The committee will be headed by the Prime Minister. Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue is assigned as the Standing Deputy Chairman of the committee while the Minister of Planning and Investment will be the committee’s Deputy Chairman.

The committee will consult and help the Government and the PM in directing and co-ordinating with relevant ministries, agencies and localities to implement the restructuring of the economy and the renewal of growth model.

It is responsible for studying, reviewing and proposing to the Government and the PM positive and negative case studies in efforts to implement the restructuring of the economy and the renewal of the growth model in sectors and localities; and recommending Party and State economic policies.
