International Agriculture Fair opens in Can Tho

The Viet Nam International Agriculture Fair 2017 kicked off on Thursday in Can Tho City.

 

The fair is an annual trade promotion activity designed to expand co-operative relationships, bridge the gap between businesses and consumers and create opportunities for enterprises to exploit the domestic market.

Additionally, the fair aims to expand the consumption and export markets of agricultural products, create opportunities for raising the value of the agriculture and aquaculture brand as well as accelerate the process of regional and world integration for Vietnamese enterprises.

This year’s fair has attracted the participation of 459 booths from 300 units and enterprises. Of which, up to 60 booths are from foreign companies and joint ventures such as the Republic of Korea, Japan, India, China, Germany, the United States and Colombia.

The fair showcases many high-tech and safe agricultural products, machinery, agricultural equipment, modern agricultural product processing line, agricultural materials, fertilisers and pesticides.

In addition, seminars on fertilizer production, high-tech agriculture development, demonstration of technical innovations in agriculture are also being held within the framework of the fair.

The event will run until November 27.
