Vietnamese firms seek partners at Trade Expo Indonesia

Vietnamese businesses are joining global counterparts at the 32nd Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) that kicked off at Indonesia Convention Exhibition, Bumi Serpong Damai city, Greater Jakarta, on Wednesday.

 

The event, themed “Global Partner for Sustainable Resources”, attracted 4,500 businesspersons from 79 countries and territories, including 21 entrepreneurs from 13 companies of Viet Nam. The Vietnamese firms looks to seek Indonesian business partners specialising in food, confectionary, beverage, farm produce, wood products and industrial machinery.

During the expo, the Indonesian Embassy in Ha Noi co-ordinated with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry held a meeting with many Indonesian companies which wish to invest and do business in Viet Nam.

The meeting focused on business challenges and opportunities in the two countries, procedures and mechanisms for investment, import and export, and procedures for food certification under Islamic Halal regulations. The 32nd TEI is hoped to help raise transaction revenue between Indonesian and Vietnamese businesses which stood at US$3.77 million in 2016.
