VDS posts 47 per cent growth in revenue

Rong Viet Securities on Thursday announced that it had gained revenue of VND249 billion (US$11 million) in the first nine months of the year, an increase of more than 47 per cent compared with the same period last year.

The company said that revenue from stock brokerage activities jumped by 75 per cent in three quarters. The company’s other activities increased by between 29 per cent to more than 94 per cent.

The profit after tax during the period reached over VND100 billion ($4 million), surging by more than 83 per cent year-on-year.

To bring their customers better service, the company said in its latest report that it had invested a great deal in the company infrastructure in the third quarter.

One of the upgrades includes online service, which aims to help customer save time and costs.

Rong Viet said it would continue to invest more in infrastructure and technologies as well as human resource to optimize their services.

The company wants to expand its brokerage market share.

Established in 2006, Rong Viet is one of the top 15 securities companies in Viet Nam.

In July, the company shifted its listing from the Hà Nội Stock Exchange to the HCM City Stock Exchange.
