Lam Dong licenses new high-tech flower, vegetable project

The People’s Committee of the Central Highland province of Lam Dong has approved a new high-tech flower and vegetable growing project.

Da Lat City-based Dalat Hasfarm Company will invest VND337.5 billion (US$15 million) in the agricultural project spread over 29.4ha in Phuc Tho Commune, Lam Ha District.

The project, including 21.2ha of greenhouses and other auxiliary facilities such as working offices, storage and water tanks, is expected to be operated by January 2021.

It is designed to supply 400 tonnes of vegetables, 50 million flowers and some 250 million flower seedlings per year to domestic and international markets once fully operational.

From now until the end of the year, the project owner will spend VND83.4 billion in activities such as completing investment procedures, importing equipment and building a 5ha greenhouse.
