Petrolimex, Myanmar firm sign deal

The Viet Nam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and Myanmar’s HTOO Group of Companies agreed to jointly do business in Myanmar on Tuesday in Ha Noi.

In the meeting, Petrolimex Chairman Bui Ngoc Bao hailed Myanmar as a promising oil and gas market and a golden land for investors.

He expressed his belief that bilateral co-operation will thrive, especially in fields of Petrolimex’s strength such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, refinery, construction and supply of oil and gas facilities.

Petrolimex and its member companies will soon send teams to Myanmar to study the market and local laws to outline business plans.

HTOO General Director Pye Phyo Tay Za hoped that the deal would open up a new period in bilateral ties.
