Treasuring team a secret to success as Crowne Plaza celebrates service

Luxury hotel “Crowne Plaza Vientiane” on Wednesday celebrated its service with staff in fun activities for “Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) Celebrate Service Week.”

General Manager of Crowne Plaza Vientiane Mr Oliver Horn said that hotel staff celebrated IHG Celebrate Service Week annually with every IHG hotel worldwide dedicating a full week to fun activities for their teams to join.
“It’s our way of saying thank you to everyone at IHG’s branded hotels and corporate offices around the world and celebrating their dedication to great service,” Mr Horn said.
Mr Horn said on the first day of IHG Celebrate Service Week at Crowne Plaza Vientiane the team was surprised with morning snacks and some delicious ice cream cups during the afternoon.
A popcorn-fueled film session was enjoyed as was the active fun of various sporting and challenge activities.
Mr Horn said Crowne Plaza Vientiane would continue supporting and celebrating staff for their service and give employees opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Every employee in the hotel has a personal development plan on how they can grow and develop themselves for the future, he said.
The hotel also has a care center for children staffed by two nannies to help single parents best manage their work and care responsibilities.
A children’s room including educational toys helps mothers on staff to return to work, safely dropping their children in the morning and pick them up in the evening.
Mr Horn added that hotel had a higher training budget than most, benefitting from its position in an international group.
Meanwhile, English classes are available for staff working in the restaurant and bar helping them to be increasingly confident in communication with guests.
A jewel in the city’s high-level hospitality crown, Crowne Plaza Vientiane is a new luxury hotel with 197-rooms which features well-appointed premium guest rooms and suites tastefully decorated with traditional Lao elements, modern amenities and a variety of restaurants and bar for a range of dining experience.
During their downtime, guests can take a dip in the hotel’s outdoor infinity pool which offers stunning views of the city as they enjoy the poolside bar service at Splash.
Alternatively, they can also re-energise with a workout at the 24 hour fitness center boasting state-of-the-art gym equipment.
