SCAVI among Vietnam’s 500 biggest companies

SCAVI JSC is now among the 500 biggest companies in Vietnam, according to a recently announced ranking by Vietnam Report and Vietnamnet.

SCAVI is the biggest foreign-invested company in the fashion sector that is included in the top 500 of Vietnam in 2016.

A member of French group Corele International, SCAVI was established in 1988 right after the Law on Foreign Investment became effective. SCAVI is specialised in luxury intimates, core intimates - including big s, underwear, night wear - home wear and swimwear.

The company is in charge of outsourcing the design, technical modelism-fitting, materials sourcing, production organisation to delivery for about 30 customers that are international brands from Europe, North America and part of Asia.

SCAVI has a service management headquarter in Orleans and an Asian service management headquarter in Ho Chi Minh City, and five factories in Dong Nai, Danang, Hue, Lam Dong and Laos. SCAVI, which has been growing at an average 30-40 per cent a year, targets the worldwide leading position in 3 to 5 years.

From its establishment, the company has been led by Tran Van Phu, chairman-founder-CEO, who had held many key positions at French companies before founding the company. In 2011 he wrote a book: "Faire Repartir la France et l’Europe – la démocratie volontaire" ("Relaunch France and Europe - The Voluntary Democracy") - Le Cherche Midi Edition-2011. The book won the reputable Cresus Prize - French National Assembly in Paris in July 2011.
