Fuel prices rise for first time in 2017

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce has announced a fuel price increase across the country beginning yesterday (January 20) after a rise in the price of fuel on the world market.

This is the first fuel price hike this year after two increases last month.

In Vientiane the cost of premium grade petrol has increased to 8,820 kip per litre, regular petrol is now 7,820 kip a litre, and diesel is 6,860 kip a litre.

In Phongsaly province, the price of premium grade is now 8,820 kip a litre, regular petrol increased to 8,550 kip, and diesel is 7,590 kip.

In LuangNamtha province, the price of premium grade has increased to 8,820 kip a litre, regular petrol costs 8,180 kip and diesel has increased to 7,220 kip.

In Oudomxay province, the price of premium grade is now 8,820 kip a litre, regular petrol is 8,270 kip and diesel 7,310 kip.

In Bokeo province, the cost of premium grade petrol is now 8,920 kip a litre, while regular petrol is 7,920 kip, and diesel is 6,960 kip a litre.

In LuangPrabang province, the cost of premium grade petrol has increased to 9,280 kip a litre, regular petrol is now 8,280 kip, and diesel has increased to 7,320 kip.

In Xayaboury and Huaphan provinces, the price of premium grade has increased to 9,280 a litre, regular petrol is now 8,220 kip and diesel has jumped to 7,260 kip.

In XiengKhuang province, the price of premium grade petrol has risen to 9,280 kip a litre, regular petrol is now 8,010 kip and diesel costs 7,050 kip.

In Vientiane province, the pump price of premium grade petrol is now 8,820 kip a litre, while regular is 7,820 kip, and diesel is 6,860 kip.

In Borikhamxay province, the price of premium grade petrol is 8,820 kip a litre, regular petrol is now 7,940 kip and diesel is 6,980 kip.

In Khammuan and Savannakhet provinces, the cost of a litre of premium grade petrol has jumped to 8,850 kip, while regular petrol is now 7,850 kip, and diesel is 6,890 kip a litre.

In Saravan province, the price of premium grade is 8,850 kip a litre, while regular petrol is now 8,030 kip a litre and diesel is 7,070 kip.

In Champassak province, premium grade petrol is now 8,880 kip a litre, while regular petrol is 7,880 kip and diesel is 6,920 kip.

In Xekong, Attapeu, and Xaysomboun provinces, the price of pr emium grade petrol is 8,880 kip a litre, regular petrol has increased to 8,060 kip a litre and diesel now costs 7,100 kip a litre.
