Textile and garment industry exhibition opens in HCM City

Around 400 companies are participating in the Vietnam Textile & Garment Industry Exhibition, which opened on November 23 in HCM City aiming to provide easy access to the latest industrial technologies.

The exhibitors are from 20 countries and territories, including Australia, Thailand, Singapore, India, Japan, Hong Kong and Germany.

They are displaying a variety of equipment and machinery, such as automotive cloth cutting machines, sewing and power looms and knitting machines, embroidering tools and materials, and chemicals and accessories.

During the four-day event, there will be seminars on topics such as Viet Nam’s supply chain of cotton, fibres, thread, textiles and garments; the impact of free trade agreement (FTA) on Việt Nam’s textile and garment industry through rules of origin; and 10 reasons to invest in the textile and garment industry in Viet Nam.

The exhibition, organised by Chan Chao International Company of Taiwan and Vinexad, will end on Saturday at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center at 799 Nguiyen Van Linh Avenue in District 7.
