Luxury is a good bet in Thao Dien’s growth market

Gateway Thao Dien – the luxury residential co-development by SonKim Land and Hamon Developments – has been fully committed to quality and luxury details since its inception. The project is progressing on time schedule-wise, and its state-of-the-art finishing materials will provide its discerning homeowners with an exclusive living experience. Insiders told VIR’s Thao Bui about their expectations for the project.

“A firm commitment to high quality”- Han Suk Jung, COO of SonKim Land

SonKim Land’s strategy is to focus on developing properties for a uniquely refined lifestyle, with value innovations, quality, and integrity. When it comes to residential projects, SonKim Land’s philosophy is to create premium luxury developments that deliver the ultimate living experience to a discerning few. With the company’s proven track record in winning the first two “Best Luxury Condo” awards at Vietnam Property Awards, SonKim Land pays great attention to detail in order to create an exquisite home living experience.

Luxury European brands such as German kitchen appliances producer Bosch, German bathroom ceramics and bathtub maker Duravit, German shower fabricator Hansgrohe, and German furniture fitting and architectural hardware leader Hafele have been carefully selected to provide higher quality products than what SonKim Land initially committed to buyers.

We pledged that we would work harder to build a state-of-the-art environment. SonKim Land is dedicated to delivering on its promises, to ensure a privileged living experience at Gateway Thao Dien. The company’s portfolio includes such projects as Ho Chi Minh City’s The Nassim, Indochine Park Tower, and Empress Tower, Hanoi’s Sentinel Place, and Phan Thiet’s Blue Ocean Resort – all examples of quality projects by SonKim Land.

“Europe-sourced mechanical and electronic devices”- Tran Dinh Muoi Director of M&E Division, Searefico

Apart from supplying lifts from world-renowned Swiss company Schindler, Gateway Thao Dien has luxury features such as concealed Daikin air conditioners, Mitsubishi generators, and electrical systems by both Schneider and Le Grand. At Searefico, we apply building information modeling (BIM) in implementing construction drawings, which helps minimising problems in the construction process, ensures quality installation, and shortens construction duration. Our integrated mechanical and electronic solutions will guarantee a pleasant living experience at Gateway Thao Dien.

“Structural design is at 100 per cent”- Neil Harvey, General director of Arup and structural consultant

Arup is a worldwide leader in structural design, founded in 1946 and headquartered in the UK. It is known for the Sidney Opera House, Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, and Paris’ Centre Pompidou. The company’s work in Vietnam can be seen in buildings like Ho Chi Minh City’s Times Square and Sunrise City, and general town planning for Ninh Thuan province.

Arup takes part in Gateway Thao Dien as structural designer and has completed 100 per cent of the structural design of the tower blocks. We are now assisting developers with the structural design of the penthouse floors, which are the prime spaces in the development. For the Gateway Thao Dien project, we have applied post-tensioned floors at the apartment level, which helps to reduce floor slab thicknesses, allowing builders to maximise headroom and reduce weight on the foundations. In addition, ‘blade’ columns have been designed, also helping maximise the apartment space. The structure of the podium has been co-ordinated with the high-quality landscape design, and large-span canopies are equipped at the entrance of each block.

Gateway Thao Dien is one of the tallest residential buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, and we are very proud to announce to all buyers that this will be the safest place to stay in terms of structure.

“Hand-over will take place in exactly the fourth quarter of 2017” – Le Dang Xu Chairman of COFICO and main contractor

We are very honoured to be appointed as the main contractor of the Gateway Thao Dien project. Team COFICO is making every endeavour to satisfy the developers’ mandate of “Progress – Quality – Safety”. We have strictly kept to schedule from the start.

The latest account of construction progress shows that the Aspen Tower has reached level 14, while the Madison is at level 17. Construction speed is steady and completely meeting the original plan.

“Fitted by Eurowindow”– Nguyen Canh Hong General director of Eurowindow

The windows in Gateway Thao Dien are all from the top-end of Eurowindow’s product portfolio. The type of windows the company will provide for the Aspen and Madison towers have an 8mm Low-E coating, 12mm of air between panes, and 6mm thickness. This high-tempered glass is well soundproofed, and it can reduce outside noise by 40 decibels. The entire aluminium frame is powder-coated. Eurowindow offers a 20-year warranty, following AAMA2604 American standards on how long they should last.
