Japan's industrial machine factory inaugurated in Viet Nam

Japan's Meitoku Engineering Co Ltd began operations of a factory producing and assembling industrial machines in the Dong Van II Industrial Zone in the northern province of Ha Nam on September 28.

The factory, spread over 19,100sq.m., has total investment of US$5 million.

This is the first overseas factory of Meitoku Engineering, Tokunaga Mikie, the company's general director, said. He pledged to use advanced technologies to produce quality products and protect the environment, thus contributing to the development of Ha Nam Province and Viet Nam in general.

Nguyen Dinh Khang, secretary of the provincial Party Committee, appreciated the company's efforts in completing the factory's construction on time and in a safe manner.

The factory is expected to create more jobs and improve locals' living conditions, he said, affirming that Ha Nam will continue creating the best conditions for Japanese enterprises and others investing in the province.

Ha Nam has, till date, attracted 178 foreign direct investment projects with a total capital of over $1.4 billion, of which, 54 projects worth $550 million are invested by Japan.
