Australia looking to send more live cattle

Australia has expressed interest in exporting more live cattle to the Cambodian market, with a number of private companies keen to invest in the business.

Australia’s new ambassador to Cambodia, Angela Corcoran, relayed her country’s interest in live cattle exports during a meeting with Agriculture Minister Veng Sakhon, according to a ministry spokesman.

Nearly 3,000 heads of cattle arrived in Sihanoukville last month as part of the first shipment of live cattle to supply the Kingdom’s first modern slaughterhouse.
