State treasury offloads G-bonds worth $310m

The state treasury offloaded one-third of the government bonds, worth VND7 trillion (US$310.55 million), offered on January 6, G-bond auction organiser Ha Noi Stock Exchange said.

 

In the first transaction of 2016, the treasury offered bonds worth VND7 trillion (US$310.55 million), comprising three-year bonds worth VND2 trillion ($88.73 million), five-year bonds worth VND4 trillion ($177.46 million) and 15-year bonds worth VND1 trillion ($44.36 million).

At the end of the auction, the treasury had three-year bonds worth VND1.6 trillion ($70.98 million) with a coupon rate of 5.76 per year, five-year bonds worth VND490 billion ($21.73 million) with a coupon rate of 6.58 per cent per year, and 15-year bonds worth VND303.4 billion ($13.46 million) with a coupon rate of 7.65 per cent per year.

The treasury mobilised 197.745 trillion ($8.77 billion) in G-bonds in 2015.
