Paper material factory opens in Ha Nam

The Japan-invested Nittoku Viet Nam Co inaugurated a paper material factory, worth US$17 million, in the northern province of Ha Nam's Thi Son Industrial Park on Monday.

Covering nearly 40,000 square metres, the factory specialises in producing materials for napkin and toilet paper production. It has a designed capacity of nearly 15,000 tonnes a year, mainly for export to Asian markets.

Speaking at the event, Mai Tien Dung, the Ha Nam Party Secretary spoke highly of the company's efforts in implementing the project as scheduled. He also called on the company to expand its business in the locality while contributing to advertise the province's investment climate to more Japanese investors.

Ha Nam has recently focussed on policies that create favourable conditions for enterprises to attract foreign direct investment. The province is now in the list of the top 10 provinces attracting the most FDI nationwide.

In 2014, there were 35 foreign-invested projects worth over $300 million in the province.
