Stock market extends recovery

The national stock market continued to recover on both bourses this morning.

 

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index gained 0.99 per cent to finish at 555.98 points. The market trading volume exceeded 56.3 million shares and recorded a very high value of VND1.13 trillion (US$54.2 million) by the end of the morning. The gainers outnumbered the losers by 123 to 53.

The VN30 Index, tracking the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity, surged 1.18 per cent to close at 585.15 points. In this basket, 24 codes advanced, five stayed unchanged and only Hochiminh City Infrastructure Investment JSC (CII) fell by 0.49 per cent to reach VND20,200 per share.

HAI Agrochem JSC (HAI) traded more than four million shares to become the most active code. Its price per share gained 3.57 per cent to stand at VND11,600.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index went up 0.85 per cent to close at 83.08 points. The market traded 21.2 million shares, worth VND283.7 billion ($13.1 million). The number of losing codes was two-thirds of the number of the gainers at 66 to 90.

FIT Investment JSC (FIT) was the only code that traded more than four million shares by the end of the morning. It gained 9.92 per cent to stand at VND14,400 per share.
