Tra Vinh targets annual shrimp output of 37,500

Shrimp farmers in the Duyen Hai, Cau Ngang, Tra Cu and Chau Thanh districts of the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta province of Tra Vinh are targeting a total shrimp output of 37,500 tonnes and a VND3.5 trillion (US$166.67 million) revenue in 2015.

They will specifically aim for black-tiger shrimp output of 13,500 tonnes and 24,000 tonnes of white-legged shrimp.

The locality has farmed around 13,000 ha for shrimp thus far this year, mainly in the Duyen Hai and Cau Ngang districts.
