IT firm eyes 50 billion kip market share in Laos

Interlink Communication Public Company Limited, a leading importer and distributer of IT network cabling system products based in Thailand, is entering the IT marketplace in Laos.

The company signed dealership agreements with two private companies, Datacom Company Limited and Microinfo Company Limited, in Vientiane on Friday.

Chairman of Interlink Communications Public Company Limited, Mr Sombat Anuntarumporn, signed the agreements on behalf of Interlink.

Assistant Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr Sanith Saphakdy, witnessed the signing ceremony along with other officials.

Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager of Interlink, Mr Natawudh Pintongkam, told local media that cabling system products are key essentials for IT infrastructure development.

“We intend to cooperate closely with these two distributors in Laos and grow together in this market,” he said.

This year the company is seeking a market share in Laos of more than 200 million baht (more than 50 billion kip), according to Mr Natawudh.

“Laos has a smaller population but the rate of economic growth is obviously high. That is the reason our company decided to seek business here,” he said.

After signing the agreements, the company organised a seminar for distributors' representatives and customers in Laos on how to select the best quality IT products.

The company is involved in the service outsourcing business and the design and installation of network and cabling systems for computers and telecommunications.
