Switzerland pumps $1.9 billion into Viet Nam in 2014

Switzerland pumped US$1.94 billion into 101 projects in Viet Namlast year, ranking 18th among 101 countries and territories investing here, according to the Foreign Investment Agency.

The processing and manufacturing sector lured the lion's share of Swiss investment with $1.64 billion or 84 per cent of total registered capital. It was followed by electricity, agriculutre, ICT, real estate trading and retail.

Southern Kien Giang Province was the most popular destination for Swiss investors, gobbling $1.11 billion or 57 per cent of total capital. The southern province of Dong Nai came second with $470 million or 24 per cent.
