HABECO inaugurates Quang Tri-Ha Noi beer factory

Ha Noi Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Corporation (Habeco) held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Ha Noi-Quang Tri beer factory at Quan Ngang Industrial Zone on December 14.

The construction of the beer factory, located in the central province of Quang Tri, is part of the country's master plan to develop the beer, alcohol and beverage industry by 2015, in accordance with the vision of the Ministry of Industries and Trade for 2015.

The factory received an investment worth VND285 billion (US$13.4 million), of which the company's charter capital is VND110 billion, and the rest comes from a bank loan.

Equipped with machines, technology and operation systems imported from Europe, the Ha Noi–Quang Tri factory is designed to be environmentally friendly, guaranteeing energy conservation, standard waste water treatment and minimised noise pollution.

The factory's construction began in 2009 and was completed in 2014. It endeavoured to generate its first batch of products in the third quarter of the year.

With an annual capacity of 25 million litres, 90 per cent of the factory's output will be canned beer and 10 per cent will be fresh beer.
