Can Tho to boost trade promotions

The Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta city of Can Tho aims to increase trade promotion with Japan and South Korea next year in order to improve its provincial competitiveness index (PCI).

The province will boost trade promotion with Japan to attract projects in hi-tech agriculture, information and technology, manufacturing and equipment for agro-aquatic processing, said director of the city Department of Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Centre Nguyen Khanh Tung.

The move also aims to create opportunities for business co-operation in key sectors such as rice exports, seafood, garments and textiles, pharmaceutical products and fertiliser.
