StoxPlus enters into Nikkei and QUICK’s alliance

StoxPlus Corporation, a leading financial and business information firm in Vietnam announced that it had set up a capital and business alliance with two Japanese partners - Nikkei Inc. and QUICK Corp.

“We are very delighted to announce our partnership with Nikkei and its subsidiary QUICK today. We strongly believe in a new development stage for StoxPlus from the cooperation,” Nguyen Quang Thuan, chairman and CEO of StoxPlus said.

“This is not only to make our company grow significantly but also to support the promotion of trade and investment ties between Vietnam and the country’s strategic partner Japan,” Thuan asserted.

Agreements were signed between StoxPlus and Nikkei and QUICK on September 19 where the latter subscribed a 35.1 per cent equity stake in the total.

The terms and valuation of the deal, however, are not disclosed. The Japanese Securities Incorporated (Vietnam) has been the exclusive strategic and financial advisor to the buyside in this transaction, meanwhile Nexus Group, a Hanoi-based M&A boutique, has been the financial advisor to StoxPlus.

Leveraging StoxPlus’ extensive sales channels and its track records, the parties will jointly develop analytic tools for both individual and institutional investors in Vietnam’s capital market as well as other research tools serving both domestic market and foreign players having exposure to Vietnam.
