Citi Vietnam extends momentum in credit card

Eyeing on the market segment of emerging Vietnamese young professionals, Citibank in Vietnam is now leveraging its momentum with a whole new credit card, so called Citi Visa Platinum Rewards Card that has recently been launched in Vietnam.

“We are committed to bringing the finest financial services to Vietnam, and following the successful introduction of the previous Citi cards, the Citi PremierMiles and the Citi Cash Back card, we continue bringing Vietnamese consumers the Citi Rewards Visa Platinum Credit Card,” Citi’s country officer for Vietnam Dennis Hussey said.

Citi Rewards Card is a unique reward – point – based credit card with the best accelerated earning system in the market. Although the standard award is one point for every VND1,000 spent, the Citi Rewards Card is the first and the only card that allows its customers to multiply the points up to 10 times at selected merchants.

“At Citibank, we are inspired to deliver to our customers the best-in-class products and services while allowing them to gain remarkable life experiences. And Citi Rewards Card is our way to do so. It is the first time for Citi Rewards cardholders in Vietnam to get up to 10 times of the rewards points for shopping, dining and entertainment purchases all year long,” said Citi’s Consumer business manager Raul Parades.

Citi Rewards cardholders can easily redeem their reward points for a diverse array of quality products and services from smart phones, digital cameras to dining and entertainment experiences. In addition, the customers can enjoy various privileges including year-round discounts on hotels, restaurants and shopping at hundreds of designated merchants.

With millions of members and a long presence across the Asia Pacific markets including Hong Kong, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, China and Australia a, Citi Rewards Card is promised to become a new iconic lifestyle for Vietnamese consumers.

Stepping into Vietnam’s retail banking sector in 2009, Citibank, N.A. has quickly grown into a formidable market player with the significant market share in key businesses of credit cards, personal loans, cash advance, and insurance in recent years.

With introduction of an exquisite suite of Citibank PremierMiles World Mastercard, Citibank Cash back Visa Platinum card, and Ready Credit, the bank’s credit card customer portfolio has increased substantially, making it one of the major world-class credit card issuers in the country.
