Vietcombank raises dollar prices

Vietcombank increased the trading prices for the US dollar on Monday morning, leading to significantly different dollar-dong exchange rates among commercial banks, the news website gafin.vn reported.

 

Vietcombank offers the highest buying rate at 21,085 dong per dollar, while Techcombank has the lowest at 21,060 dong per dollar. Vietinbank, Sacombank and SeaBank are offering 21,070 dong per dollar, and BIDV, Eximbank and Asia Commercial Bank are pegging it at 21,075 dong.

Meanwhile, the dollar's selling price soared to 21,145 dong at Vietcombank and was averaging at 21,115 dong in the other banks.

Saigon Jewelery Co this morning listed the SJC gold prices in the range between VND35.59 million and VND35.65 million per tael, up VND40,000 per tael for buying and VND30,000 per tael for selling, compared with last Saturday's closing rates.

The spot price for gold on the Kitco floor is $1,303.3 per ounce, slightly up over the previous weekend. The difference between the local and international prices is VND2.44 million, or $116.19, per tael.
