Local investor to develop hotel, golf course and tourist sites in Xayaboury

KC, a local company that provides financial consultancy, plans to invest US$20 million to develop a three-star hotel, a golf course and four tourist sites in Botaen district, Xayaboury province.

The provincial Planning and Investment Department and the company signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) last week to carry out a survey and design for the 30-year concession project.

The investor announced they would spend US$1 million to finance and complete the survey and design work.

Construction of the hotel with 30 rooms and 18-hole golf course is expected to begin next year with completion slated for 2017, according to the company.

Under the project, four tourist sites in Kaeng Thien, Tad Ham, Tad Sanaen, and Don Ham (Ham island) will also be developed.

T he MOU was signed by the company director Mr Khamsao Senthammavong and Director of the Provincial Planning and Investment Department Mr Bounlouan Xomsihapanya.

Officials of both sides attended the signing ceremony.
