F-home project to provide 680 apartments in 2016

The city's food joint-stock company, Danafood, will start construction of its first commercial housing project, the F-Home, in the downtown area, with a total investment of VND600 billion (US$28.6 million).

The project, which covers an area of 4,100 square meters, with two 25-storey buildings in Ly Thuong Kiet Street, will provide 680 apartments in 2016.

The project manager said the price of the apartments will soon be officially announced.

The city has planned a housing programme for the 2013-17 period, providing 1.4 million square meters worth of apartments for workers, students and low-income consumers in the city.

The city still has over 15,000 people, of which 7,000 are from poor households, who need to purchase social houses at priority rates.
