- Son La Sugar JSC was established on 16/9/1995 with initial name Son La Sugar Factory, directly under To Hieu Son La State-run farm.

- 22/4/1996, changed name to Son La Sugar Company.

- Date of equitization: 01/02/2008, new name: Son La Sugar Joint Stock Company, and initial charter capital : VND 68,000,000,000.
